Introducing our new collection: Derprosa Experience

Derprosa Experience is a collection made up of four cardboard box designs that have been laminated with different types of Derprosa films to prove to what degree the use of one type or another of laminating film radically affects the final appearance and properties of each of them.

What is the purpose of Derprosa Experience? What would its “why” be? Derprosa raison d’être is to provide lamination films that can help brands to better protect and enhance their secondary packaging, differentiate it from others at the point of sale and make it more attractive so that it is chosen by the buyer and, finally, the final user has an experience of first unveiling the product as the brand wishes.

But, how do we prove or highlight  the differences  and properties, sometimes subtle and sometimes radical, that some films contribute with respect to others? Putting ourselves in the shoes of a graphic designer or a brand owner, we believe that a good shot could be this: Producing typical examples of packaging of certain products in which we keep all the variables constant except one, the type of film used in the lamination. Thus, you can see how, in any of the designs, the differences between one and the other only have to do with the specific film chosen. Each of the four designs shares dimensions, paper type, visual / artistic design, printing, inks and post-lamination finishes such as spot varnish and hot stamping.

For the collection we have selected four types and sizes of secondary packaging:

Premium Beverages: Related to premium drinks in bottle format. The chosen design is sober, predominantly gray and we have included some graphic motifs and explanatory texts. There have been 3 versions, with the films Derprosa Sandy Matte, Derprosa Matte Pro-Shield and Derprosa Soft Touch Prestige. On the surface of the film, hot stamping and spot uv varnish have been applied.

Fragrances & Cosmetics: Related to personal care, cosmetics, perfumery and even pharmaceutical products. The chosen design is colorful and cheerful, with floral motifs, and we have also included explanatory texts. There have been (x) versions, with the films Derprosa Sandy Matte, Derprosa Matte Pro-Shield and Derprosa Soft Touch Prestige. On the surface of the film, hot stamping and spot uv varnish have been applied.

Aromas & Scents: Related to air fresheners, aromas, essences, infusions, etc. The chosen design is colorful and cheerful, with plant motifs, and we have also included explanatory texts. There have been 4 versions, with the films Derprosa Sandy Matte, Derprosa Matte Pro-Shield, Derprosa Gloss Pro-Shield and Derprosa Soft Touch Prestige. On the surface of the film, hot stamping and spot uv varnish have been applied.

Portable Electronics: Related to all kinds of small-sized technological products and personal use, such as smartphones and electronic accessories. The chosen design aims to simulate the typical box for a premium smartphone, using a front color image and descriptive text. There have been 4 versions, the lid has been laminated with the films Derprosa Sandy Matte, Derprosa Matte Pro-Shield, Derprosa Gloss Pro-Shield and Derprosa Soft Touch Prestige while for the base we have chosen Derprosa Matte Pro-Shield. On the surface of the film, hot stamping and spot uv varnish have been applied.
