Round table. Empack Madrid 2024 “When paper and print need more than protection. Lamination as a differentiating emotional factor”

On November 27th, at 13h, in the Pentawards room of Empack Madrid 2024, we will lead the round table entitled “When paper and printing need more than protection. Lamination as a differentiating emotional factor” and we will have the participation of two of the winners of this year’s Pentawards: Jorge Sánchez Mares, from Agencia Kids and Pablo Guerrero, from Estudio Pablo Guerrero.
The key to this round table, or this talk, lies in one of the word included in the title: “emotional”. In the 45 minutes that we will have to share, we want to put the focus on this concept, on the emotions, on what is capable of generating a certain emotion, within what in the world of packaging design we can, in some way, try to evoke or provoke.
We will talk about how we have gone from the need to protect the paper and what is printed on the paper, to the fact that the paper board and whatever is on it might be able to provoke a certain emotion in the user, in the consumer. And that, with that emotion, brands can better differentiate themselves and transmit to their customers certain characteristics that are of interest to them, being able also to influence the decision making process.
In a world increasingly subjected to digital, screens, the “on line” and artificial intelligence, we want to value the need to feel, to touch, to imagine, to experience with hands, eyes, skin.
We will try to be only as technical as the attendees require us to be, and put more emphasis on the emotional and what we do as manufacturers, in this case Derprosa by Taghleef Industries as a leading manufacturer of films for Graphic Arts lamination, and designers, to excite more and better and so that brands can express themselves in a more impactful way in the physical world.
