Bi-oriented polypropylene, BOPP or OPP. It’s the most commonly used base film for laminating paper and card in graphic art applications. It is versatile and flexible with excellent visual qualities, an exceptional choice for most applications. It is a film that can be cut easily during the laminating process, resulting in a clean-edged finish.

Polypropylene is a recyclable material. Once it has been bonded to paper, the laminated paper item (perfume box, book, business card) can be recycled using the usual paper recycling processes. The film can be separated from the paper pulp because it has a density inferior to 1.

In addition, there are raw materials available on the market made from chemically produced post consumer recycled plastic (PCR), which can also be used for producing laminating films. As a result, we can offer BOPP films which include a proportion of raw materials which had previously been used in the industry. These materials are therefore reused instead of being disposed of in dumps or in nature. Our philosophy is to contribute to, and therefore help build, a more sustainable and circular economy. reLIFE is the branded version of those films within the Derprosa portfolio which have been manufactured using at least 50% chemically recycled post consumer plastic.
