BOPLA

Biaxially oriented polylactic acid, PLA or BOPLA. It is a base film whose main characteristic is that the raw materials used to manufacture it come from renewable sources of a vegetable origin like starch or sugar, therefore making the film renewable and sustainable as well. The use of this type of film in graphic art is very recent and its availability is more limited compared to BOPP, BOPET or BOPA. The BOPLA base film is industrially compostable.
