BOPET

Biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate  polyester, BOPET or PET is a base film ideally suited to applications that require a more rigid and long lasting final product. Due to its consistency, it is perfect for double-sided jobs. Being more rigid than BOPP, BOPET is a material which usually requires cutting equipment during the laminating process. This base film is the most commonly used in metalized films and its transparent form includes versions which have a greater thickness than BOPP films. These are used in very specific applications, such as encapsulation (restaurant menus, information and warning sheets, etc.), which require a more rigid film, whose edges can be totally sealed in order to contain the printed paper sheet inside it.
